Next comes the DVD-Rom and the hard drive. The specs so far are: AMD Athlon X2 5600, 2Gb DDR2 PC-1066 SDram, XFX Nvidia 8600 GT.

Upgrades

Just upgraded from 2Gb of pc-1066 DDR2 Kingston Hyper X to 4Gb Kingston Hyper x SLI memory. Wow what a performance boost it is. Especially after upgrading to SP3 for Windows XP. Looking to upgrade my monitors to dual 22" instead of the two 19" I have now. But time will tell what I do. Thought about just buying one 22" and keep the 2 19" to have a triple monitor setup.

NEW DUAL MONITOR SETUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is my new dual monitor setup. I have dual LG 19" monitors and I am very pleased with them. I use ultramon to manage the wallpapers and screensavers on both monitors. It is the best programs for multi-monitor setups.

My friends computer up and running.

Here is my friends computer I just completed today. It has a AMD 5600+ X2, 2GB OCz DDR2 PC-800, 250GB hard drive, LG 20x DVD burner, Nvidia 8600 w/256MB, and a 700 Watt Thermaltake sli compatible power supply. Windows Vista Ultimate is the operation system on this puppy and man it screams. In the next couple of weeks he will ad another Nvidia 8600 and run both in SLI mode. Can not wait to see how it preform with that added to it. Will keep you posted and will get some benchmarks as well.

Found another nice pc spot for multi-pc configs.

This site is pretty nice. It has some multi-computer setups and well and milti-monitors as well. I will add to my favorites and hope to post my multi-setup some day. I have to get it first. lol.

I will be in heaven when I finally buy these 2 lovely monitors. As for the video card it comes with I will put in my test computer, replacing the ATI 9600 pro. Think of converting my test machine in to a gaming server so me, my family, and my friend can game online together. So we can all play Halo, unreal Tournament, Half-Life 2, and F.E.A.R. whenever we want. Now you know the games will be password protected so not just anyone can join unless the know it.

MY main computer

Here is my main computer. It has a AMD 64 4600+ x2 cpu,
2GB of DDR2 ram, NVIDIA 7950 Gt w/ 512MB of ram, a Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard, and over a terabyte an a half of storage, and so on. The case is a Aerocool Extreme Engine 3T. It has a 140mm fan in the front, a 250mm on the side of the case, and a 120mm in the back of the case. This keeps the case extremely cool and is quite quiet.

Test Computer

Here are shots of my Test Computer. It has a AMD 64 3000+ Sempron, 1.5GB of DDR Ram, 40GB hard drive, ATI 9600 Pro Video Card, DLink 520+ Wireless Card, LG DVD-Rom, and running Window Vista Ultimate. Going to replace the 40Gb with a 250Gb hard drive so I can run muiltple operating systems on it

My brother-in-law is promoting the new energy drink called hunid racks. It is a pretty good energy drink with no after taste like some of the other.Me myself not being a fan of the energy drink actually like this one and will probably get more in the future (like today). Hey my friend the upgrade king - meant in no disrespect for him - ( whom I have post about in the past) is getting closer to the completion of his 2nd computer. I just ordered the video card for it from Newegg. It is a XFX 8600GT PCI-X w/ 256MB of ram on the card. Later he plans to purchase another and run both in SLI mode. This will be a pretty nice computer when we get done with it.

Man yesterday was my first day back to work in 2 weeks. I really did not want to go back. Oh well got to make money right.

I Built My new PC!!!!

I just built my new PC on feb 3 2007, It has a AMD 4600X2 64 processor, 2GB DDR2 800 Kingston Hyper x memory, a 250Gb hard drive for my windows, (2) 500Gb hard drives for storage, and a 40Gb hard drive for my swap file. My Friend the Upgrade King at it again

He changed his videocard again. My friend love to try and keep up with the changes in the pc world.He bought a 7600GS w/512MB of ram on the card. I can not be mad at him, I can see the improvement in the games he plays. Now if we can just get him off of that darn Microsoft Windows Pro 64-bit!!!!

I have a buyer for my server again. Hopefully this deal will go thru. Only time will tell.

AMD BUYS ATI!!!!!!!

Wow that was a big shocker. AMD has aquired ATI for 5.4 billion. So I wonder if amd cpu will start to run only on ati chipsets. I would hope AMd would not make that mistake. I like the varieties of different chipset available and would not want to see that change. Especially since NVIDIA make SLI which is the best for dual GPU's.

I was mistaken

Looks like I was mistaken about my server being sold. Person seems to have changed there mind. They did not show up yesterday and then gave me a lame excuse why today. Oh well no hard feelings, people do what they do, I just want a little honesty. If you changed your mind at least tell me so I can offer to someone else instead of having me hold for them. My old boss always said " do not sell to friends because they will disappoint everytime". I guess I can say a lesson was learn then. Later ladies and gents

I will miss my old server

It is a die-hard champ and the person getting it is getting a real workhorse. Just wrote this piece to say good bye old friend, may you be as kind to your new owner as you were to me. :(

Welp it is official I sold it

I have sold my server and will now begin the process of building a new one. I had a AMD64 3000+ CPU with 2GB of DDR PC3200. Going to up to possibly a Intel Core 2 or a AMD64 5000 X2 setup.
Have to decided on a case and other components as well. Want to make it my game server for the upcoming Star Trek Legacy's game that comes out in November. The game looks to be awesome from the few preview videos i have watched. Will run other games as well, like UT2004, Halo CE, and a maybe a little starcraft.

Server Upgrade

Thinking about upgrading my ftp server. It presently consist of a amd 64 3000+, 2Gb ddr, 120Gb main drive, 200Gb and 250gb storage drives. I have a Nvidia 6600 w/256Mb on the card. I also have dvr burn and so on. It is currently running Windows XP Professional with Serv-U as my FTP Program. The pc runs pretty good but I think it is time to upgrade to a dual core so it can double as my game server.
